sessifetI love Dune. I loved all the books. I was happy when the news came that the series was going to be finished according to Frank Herbert's notes.
I read Hunters of Dune and was...not thrilled. It wasn't bad, as such. Just...meh. It progressed the story, but was too condensed and too action-y, so it felt rushed.
I have now picked up Sandworms of Dune after buying it about a year ago and...no. Oh gods in heaven, no.
The Leto II ghola turning into a fucking sandworm and then turning back again into a toddler? What the bleeding fuck?! What in the name of all that is holy were they sodding thinking? Did someone pass 'round the stupid juice and skipped me?
Also? Bloody fucking sandworms, having been altered to thrive in water, are now creating 'ultra spice'? What in the name of the almighty Cthulhu buggering ever living fuck?
I'm not sure this can get any worse...
Pass the fucking booze, people, because I've not finished it yet, and I fear what will happen if I finish this in a sober state.
