I've been giggling hysterically at a story called Fourteen Experiments in Postal Delivery.

You can find PodCastle's reading of it here. I highly recommend it, not just for the story. The style in which it is written means it is very suitable to being read out loud and/or listened to.

For those of you who prefer reading, you can find the full text of Fourteen Experiments in Postal Delivery here.

Go have fun.

If you're done, feel free to poke around here, which is lots of fun as well.

Encyclopedia of Life. A very ambitious project. The aim is to have an entry for all 1.8 million species. Final entry is planned for 2017. Current number of entries done and online : 30,000. It's probably going to give you an error. I think they may not have counted on manylots of people going 'Ooooooh. *clicky*'.

Odd Fish. A promising black and white comic about fish. That are odd. Yay for truth in advertising.

Wally and Osborne. A fun webcomic about a polar bear's adventures in the Antarctic.

Podcastle. Youngest sister of Escape Pod and Pseudopod. The line-up for the first six stories looks nice.

Random prettiness site I unearthed while browsing through my bookmarks: Oil lamps 'n things.

What does one do when one can't get a song out of one's head? Well, this one finds a new one to replace it.

I am blaming [livejournal.com profile] arwen_lune for the original idea, since she introduced me to it. I do not, however, blame her for googling for an hour trying to find it in order to get rid of "Onward Christian Soldiers".

Yay Dancing Bananas!

Is It Christmas? It has an rss feed.

Animator vs. Animation.

Animator vs. Animation Part II.

The anatomy of a balloon animal. Let me repeat that: The anatomy of a balloon animal. There is someone out there who decided a) balloon animals have anatomy, and b) they should draw it. I want to meet and marry this person. Or at least fangirl them. There are other lovely and weird things to be found on the website: http://www.moistproduction.com/.

Motivational RPG Posters.

Roland on the Ropes!. Rah!

Oh Mummy!. Double Rah!

I can remember my first computer. Well, it wasn't mine, of course, but I was allowed to use it. It was around 84-86, but I could never remember exactly. I still can't. What I remember is this green on black screen and a game that helped me tell the time (in English). There was this monkey that climbed up the pole a notch every time you guessed what time it was. If you got five in a row, it'd get to the top and do a silly little dance.

I'm trying to watch NCIS and keep getting distracted. Shudder at quotation mark abuse! It's fun.

Though in this case, it took me a while to find the gratuitous scare quotes. Seriously, who thought that would be a good name to have for a car wash? Really? I want to talk to this person and ask them why. (And possibly to make sure they're kept away from sharp objects as well...).

Disclaimer: I am not in any way to blame for any personal injuries caused by watching that or any other photo in that pool.

Also known as 'I wants one'.

Not the bunny, though. The bunny looks like it really really wants to chew your face off.

They have a stuffed Man-O-War. This is either very disturbing or very nifty. And there are stuffed octopi..octopodes...octopussies...the things with tentacles!

I'm not even going to comment on the stuffed beaver.
