One of the joys of moving to another place is encountering new and different wildlife. Moving from a gardenless ground floor flat in an urban area to a semi-detached house (with a garden) in a suburban area has definitely increased the number of birds and other animals I spot on a regular basis.

There's wood pigeons roosting in the large tree, a collection of small brown boppy birds (I think they're finches. Possibly sparrows?) that live in the hedge, at least one robin*, various frogs and toads and a whole ton of jumping spiders.

Also, we appear to have a small depressed elephant trundling through the neighbourhood every other weekend or so.**

*Who is convinced that this is his turf and the rest is only allowed here so long as we all behave ourselves and don't get any ideas.
**Actually it's the scrap metal van, but it really does sound like a small depressed and, above all, tone-deaf elephant.
