Had 14 hours of sleep and I feel mostly human again. Today's lazy day itinerary: go to the dentist and ask for a wisdom tooth removal before it works its way through the side of my jawbone and my cheek; go see sis and brother in law for dinner in Groningen, followed by a visit to our little niece.
Tomorrow's lazy day will be just that: lazy. I shan't be doing much except hang about the house wrapped in a blanket and chatting to sis and waiting for Shiny People Withdrawal to kick in.
My UK trip was lovely, if too short. There was the usual hurry up and wait at Schiphol airport, and the "Oh fuck, this time I'm really going to die," thought while the plane was landing, and the unending wait to disembark. The only reasons I don't totally loathe flying are the fact that there are always shiny people at the end of the flight and I like looking at the pretty lights down below.
There was good food and a big telly and good books and hugs and snuggles and much fun was had watching Wii being played. I enjoyed myself and didn't want to go home at all. (Not helped by the fact that we had to get up at 4 AM so
the_ladylark could drive me back to Manchester Airport for a silly o'clock flight.) The flight home was okay, except for the fact that I only had about three and half hours of sleep and the guy behind me spent the entire flight trying to get my kidneys to notice his knees. I think his knees had issues. So did my kidneys. They were quite close to grabbing the knives and pepper spray and to just have at the bony poke-y things invading their privacy.
So yes, fun trip. I needed to refuel.
