Nothing more to do but concede, surrender, give up, open the gates and let the conquering army march inside. The Liverpool game tonight was the first game where I honest to goodness cared about the result solely because I wanted them to win and go through.

And I think I aged 10 years watching tonight's game. I honestly felt like turning off the telly after 80 minutes because it got too scary. Made me feel like a child watching a scary movie or series: 'Can we turn it off now? I'm scared to watch the rest...'

And I made [livejournal.com profile] the_ladylark giggle lots by making weird noises.

*pokes [livejournal.com profile] hobnobs* Is this what being a supporter means? Do I need to sign something in my own blood? (If so, do I get a badge?) :)

Being a supporter certainly means a good workout for your nerves, your heart, and your throat. I know that mine were on edge, pounding, and sore (respectively) at multiple points of this evening's game. :)

As to signing in blood... That's not strictly necessary. Believe me, your blood will tell you that you are a supporter. *g*

It's too late. This isn't what it means to be a supporter, Sessifet. This is what the normals think of when they use the word "fan". Ask me to lend you my copy of "Shit Ground, No Fans - a Football Songbook" next time I see you. 8)

As long you don't start wanting to sign things in the opposing supporters' blood you're probably OK.

(Where "OK" = "Doooomed!" :-)

So...I skipped the 'supporter' stage altogether? I'm told that's a sign of an obsessive personality. (Of course, it's only a co-worker and they're a City fan so I think they can be safely ignored ;))

It's one of those irregular verbs. I'm a supporter, you're a fan, he's got an ASBO and gets his passport confiscated whenever Englathe Dutch play away...
