That was my first thought... especially as those in the industry have for many years referred to underpowered kit by means of hamsters in wheels

The SO has an obsession with - not a crush on - Richard "Hamster" Hammond from Top Gear; she wants to take him home, put him in a little cage, give him a little wheel and feed him till his cheek pouches bulge. Then turn him over and tickle his tummy till he squeaks happily.

Maybe a hamster socket is required for this activity.
