I don't like mid shifts (working from 9:30 to 18:00). The days drag. I can't really have an early night because I need time to settle down after work, and I can't sleep in long er (only about half an hour if that) because I need to be in the car by 8:00 to get to work in time. I much prefer early shifts or late shifts.

Only two more days, then I can sleep in on Saturday, though I am working that day.

I agree. It never seems like there's as much day when you work the mid-shifts.

Sooo... my sidling in your direction and asking you to come out in the mini would be unwelcome, I'm thinking...

Uh... without wishing to be rude, has anybody pointed out that your mid shift is a (maybe shortened) version of most peoples' "normal working day"? ;-)

Having said that, I agree - back when I was doing shift work I much preferred earlies or lates (preferably earlies for me). It gives so much more "my own life" time.
