Just opened a letter from IBG, informing me that since I stopped being eligible for support in 2005, I can now start paying back my loans. They want me to start paying back in January 2008.
First response? 'Like bloody fuck I will!' It's not that I can't pay them back. If I want, I can pay 50 a month if that was all I could afford and up the payments as I go, but that's not the point. I'm not supposed to start paying it back until after I've either quit or finished uni and then the clock starts ticking. At least, that's what I've always been told.
I foresee a lovely phone conversation tomorrow.
