Soft noises draw my mind to wakefulness. I curl up tight and draw the blanket closer around me. I don't want to be awake. Sounds of movement. Front door opens and closes. I turn over and get comfortable again. Wrapped in darkness and warmth and comfort I move away from the world and feel my mind edge back towards dreaming.
As I slip under and into dreams, I realise the glorious truth: I don't need to be awake.
I can sleep.
I can dream.

I can sleep.
