Jun. 21st, 2011 08:57 amI've been quite busy over the last week. Pub lunch and games at ours on the Sunday before last. Roleplaying on Tuesday. Lots of gardening all week (I'm getting really, really tired of grubbing up roots, let me tell you). Friday was Munchkin and catching up with friends. Saturday was cave party (which was fun, if exhausting and really cold). Sunday we went out to brunch after the cave party and then went home and fell over a bit. Yesterday, I explored part of Cheltenham, made an appointment with a hairdresser, had my feet nibbled by feesh and had lunch with friends. (I also got chocolate, a secondhand wildlife garden book and good skincare products.)
My joints are unhappy. I know why most of them are whinging at me, because I have been overdoing it the last few days. Still, I am in better shape than I have been for a very long time. My hands, on the other hand, are in not so good a shape. It is partly muscles (grubbing around for roots in soil and pebbles is hard work!), but I recognise this bone deep weariness. I should probably have a hot bath soon. However, this would require cleaning the bathroom first and that task's beyond me at the moment.
Instead, I will have painkillers and a hot shower in a bit and then retire to the sofa with my microwavable teddy bear for the rest of the day.
