On Saturday I had another late shift, so I had the last of my cottage pie.

On Sunday, I decided to cook the onion squash I'd ordered from Abel and Cole. I cut it into wedges and roasted it with just a bit of olive oil. Really, really nice! Very savoury and definitely a good choice. I think it would work well in a mixture of roast vegetables and squash.

On Monday I did not have a late shift, but a day shift, meaning I got home around half six. Unfortunately, the heating's been screwed since Friday, which means that it is too warm here. I had an absolutely beautiful little headache right in my left eyeball. Having nearly garrotted myself on the clothes line (which should technically not even be possible) and almost stabbing myself before I'd even touched my gem squash and butternut squash, I decided that it would be pizza night instead.

That didn't happen either, because I ended up going to bed at 20:00.

So tonight I will have pizza for dinner, and I will prepare squash for tomorrow lunch time. There will also be 'rearrange the freezer' so my stuff isn't floating all over the freezer confusing others who use the freezer. I'm heading down to Cheltenham on Thursday, coming back somewhere during the weekend. If allowed, I will inflict cooking on shiny people, but otherwise there won't be a lot of cooking going on. Instead, I will decide on dishes to be cooked next week and make a proper meal plan and all.

Just thinking about what I'm going to cook and being creative is helping, so I'm not too worried about not having been able to do as much as I'd planned.
