Some days I hate my brain

It is currently telling me it wants to do Something.

It is not, however, deigning to tell me what said Something is. This is unhelpful.

So for the past two hours or so I've been throwing ideas at it in the hopes that something, anything, will stick.

Me: Fancy playing a game?
Brain: Meh.

Me: We could...watch a movie?
Brain: Meh.

Me: We could go for a walk?
Brain: Meh.

Me: Hey, wanna read a book?
Brain: Meh.

Me: Oooh. I know! How about rearranging the bookcases? Hmm? Come on, you like doing that!
Brain: Meh.
Me: Or we could spend the rest of the day staring at the fucking wall instead.
Brain: Meh.

*times passes*

Me: Hey, what about cooking some food? Or baking? Sound good?
Brain: I...could be persuaded.
Me: Great. Chilli?
Brain: Meh.
Me: We could make venison pie?
Brain: Meh.
Me: Cinnamon rolls?
Brain: Me...actually, that sounds like fun.
Me: Yay! I think I've got all the ingredients, except the yeast. We'll have to find a no yeast recipe.
Brain: Oh. Never mind then.
Me: ...
Me: Astflajsgs!
Brain: You okay?
Me: Gfsstfglpfrt!
Brain: Er...you're looking at me funny.
Me: Grrrr.
Brain: Your eye is...er...twitching.
Me: You...nnnng.
Brain: I'll just be...er...just be over there looking at the wall, okay?
Me: *twitches gently*
