Kitchen shenanigans
Sep. 27th, 2012 06:41 pmEarlier this week I threw my hands up, exclaimed "I'm tired of living in unorganised squalor!" and rearranged the kitchen. Then I called
azekeil and warned him I had done so. He was suitably worried.
When I got up this morning (afternoon), I continued imposing order upon my new creation and I'm relatively* pleased with it. There's more space to work with now. My cookbooks are in a sane place, the fridge is closer to the cooker. The old bookcase will go to the hallway, which will give us a space for books and boots and post and assorted odds and ends.
Once that's done, I have plans to finish that damnable hallway.
In other news: having been on the standard asthma medication for slightly less than a month now, the difference is already startling. I am still easily tired and I get out of breath quite quickly, but it actually passes and I have to be doing something moderately strenuous like walking uphill (or dragging full kitchen cabinets). I've not had to use my emergency inhaler all week. The amount of spare energy I have and the amount of sheer desire to get up and do things is almost scary considering how secluded and drawn into myself I have been since at least late February/early March this year.
So...erm...yay!
*The kitchen is old and it is waaaaaay past time it gets replaced. Plans to this effect are In The Making. As these Plans involve both satisfying myself and
azekeil, you should know this involves Lots and Lots of discussions. And putting things on paper. And being unable to dismiss plans that are obviously unworkable. And putting in back-up Plans (those that know the both of us are probably casting their eyes skyward and muttering "Great Squid help us all").
