Been to the bank an I should all be sorted out now, but I'm going in Saturday morning and poke them with the stick of pokiness +5 just to make sure I'm still in the system and still exist and such. I'm just a teensy bit suspicious of their ability to get this sorted.

Also, just as I got home I got a message from the Dutch consulate. They were happy to inform me they would be able to help me. I could get a proper letter from them stating where I lived. I'd have to pay for the privilige, but you can't get more official than that.

All they want from me is a copy of my passport.

And a copy of a utility bill with my name on.

I'll let you sit back and absorb that, shall I?

It's a good thing I'd already been to the bank and was in a good mood, otherwise I would have gone spare. But with precision.

As a people we're not generally that clueless, are we? I don't believe I've ever had to prove my address over here... certainly not with a utility bill. Which is good, 'cause I've never had one in my name...
