More geeking
May. 2nd, 2009 08:19 amSet up machine at home and discovered I had a full XP install CD. Ran that (had to reformat the drive as it went 'eep' and refused to install without formatting) and it's booted up to XP now. So tonight when I get home I will install All The Windows Service Packs and Updates (oh gods...). I'll then link up my own C: drive and get all the data off there and then I'll disconnect my DVD-R and DVD drive and connect my old D: drive and ferry some more stuff back and forth.
After that, faffing with sound and graphics card drivers, reinstalling NOD32, Firefox etc. Oh, and have a look at the BIOS, as the machine is chanting it's not there when booting it up.
Fun! Can I go home yet?
