Why is it that one does not have a magical Make Things Better (Or At Least Suck Less Monumentally) wand for loved ones and friends? The lack of such a device vexes me and leads me to believe this world has some serious design flaws.

Hugs and good thoughts are the next best thing, but then one needs something to get places to actually give the hugs. Which brings me to the other serious flaw in the world's design. No wings.

No wings, no wands. Just good thoughts and hugs (which are being stored up so they can be given in person when possible).

Because the world sucks in wierd way, and a make things suck less wand would violate causality.

I hear you - I've asked for a Stop-And-Rewind remote control at one point, but such a device was nowhere to be found, either.
