Aug. 4th, 2008 08:19 pmI had a good weekend. Met some nice new people and saw lots of shiny scenery. Avesbury was impressive, so was the barrow. And the Uffington Horse was worth the ten mile detour on Sunday.
The enjoyment got killed a bit by the fact that my already twingy back really didn't like going camping, or the drive back up north. That meant that I had to take a quarter of one of my real painkillers this morning . Its effects are fun. Now, some of you have seen me on cocodamol and have seen that I go slightly...vague. The main side-effects I experience are drowsiness and euphoria. My real painkillers are basically a stronger form of cocodamol and they therefore have a more pronounced effect.
Unfortunately, neither normal nor prescribed painkillers get rid of the pain, or even numb it to managable levels. All they do is make me not give a fuck about being in pain. I know I'm in pain, but there's a wall of friendly pink fluff between me and it. It also makes me somewhat less than coherent and with it. So today I spent most of my time as a small orange tree. *rustles leaves vaguely*
