I've been reclaiming the garden one square metre at a time and the difference is impressive even though I've only done a small amount (compared to what needs to be done in total). Due to years of only minimal maintenance, I have yet to find many plants that my limited skills can save. The plants are either dead or completely stunted and twisted and unhappy looking.
I try not to think about how much work is still to come because gibbering in sheer terror does not get the garden cleared, damnit.
Neither does it get my stuff upstairs unpacked and tidied away, so I think I'll go do a bit of that now before I go into the garden again to do battle with the honeysuckle (and evey other damned weed).
