Of wallpaper and pain
Jul. 30th, 2011 09:55 pmNot having a job makes me feel kind of useless and unmotivated. I'm stilll working on the garden, but that's just clearing and keeping up with it. And while that's useful, it's not something I can sink my teeth into like I could with building the big bed. So I've been wandering around feeling a bit lost and surplus to requirements (not helped by the fact that people aren't responding to my applications). After weebling about this last night, we ended up going to B&Q today to get supplies so I can do something in the house when I've finished job hunting for the day. There's paint and more paint and masking tape and stuff. I then spent some time cleaning the old garden bench and repainting the metal bits (next step is new wooden slats). Afterwards, I wandered around staring at the walls with twitchy fingers and ended up ripping off wallpaper for a bit. Said 'bit' turns out to have been at least 5 hours. I'm now quite sore, really tired and very happy. I Did Stuff. I Were Useful! I Am Making This My House Too!
