And I didn't even get a badge. Sure, I'm proud of myself for reducing my overdraft even a little bit for the first time ever and also proud for cancelling orders for stuff I didn't need, thus stopping an actual overspend. Unfortunately, I still feel bad for the initial overspend and there aren't even any shinies to make me feel better. No-one ever warned me this would all be part of being an adult. Or perhaps they did and I just didn't believe them.
Still, I'm determined to see the positive side of things (which, on a related note, is a hell of a lot easier now that I can actually breathe again. Apparently, persistent lack of oxygen can cause all kinds of fun things like feeling slow, stupid, depressed and scatterbrained. Who knew! (Cue several friends with asthma going "I did!")), so once a week I am going to try to read/play/watch something that I've acquired at some point and haven't actually done anything with.
To that end, today is Adventure Game Day, wherein I play three or four adventure games, swapping between them when I get stuck/bored. On the list: The Secret of Monkey Island, Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge, Deponia (a game by Daedalic Entertainment) and Broken Sword. Okay, so technically I've only not played one of those before, but I never completed the other ones, therefore it totally counts!
