Ive just seen the Jamboree prices. 70 quid! And that's not counting travelling costs and food and such. Guess I'm not going after all. Such a shame, I was really looking forward to it. I can't afford 70 quid, though. And I'm not sure I'd want to spend it even if I could.

You appear to be far from alone in this. But if getting together with lots of shiny people is the main attraction it seems likely that some alternative is going to arrange itself fairly rapidly.

Probably won't be worth spending the money if there aren't going to be many afpers there anyway.

I agree with Adrian - I suspect an alternative will be arranged.
